We are all delighted to be at last going and we are very fit, the whole Bdge are a fine lot? of men absolutely the best Australia could ??? and I believe we shall do our chore? I don't want you to worry about me, I will write as often as possible but because you don't hear from me don't get anxious, I hope you get the Post Cards lve sent you I have sent some to May, I feel that she is showing a very brave spirit and will be brave through this awfull time you are having a very trying time the three of us in it, but should one of us fall you will have cause to be proud of your soldier brothers and should not let it grieve you, now I want you to look it square in the face, be brave and trust that whatever the Lord wishes it is for the best, ever fondest love to you all, and to Tom and Rose
